Great game!

Im playing for about 15 minutes and already addicted. Motion and sound design well polished and the illustrarions are amazing. Nice work!

Awesome!

Great mechanics! Love the poker + rpg elements to this. Totally addictive. Well worth my $$$!!! The movement/screen design does remind me of a certain SquareEnix game I had before though...

Fantastic

Perfect blend of poker and adventure - Great iPhone game!

Can hardly be called a poker game

Overall, not a bad game, just highly misleading. The combat is fairly dull, where you dont play poker, just form poker hands from a random pool of cards, no real luck or skill involved. Fairly bland.

Mediocrity

Not a whole lot to this game. The battles are a snoozefest, nothing is really required of you besides selecting the best poker hand in front of you. Outside of battle there isnt really anything else to keep your attention. Go along path, fight boring battle repeat. You "level up" but it doesnt actually do anything and there is no equipment to speak of so it is barely an RPG. I was really hoping for something along the lines of Sword & Poker but was highly disappointed.

Surprisingly Good.

I dont usually go for card games, but Poker Knight is pretty well put together.

Great

Surprising game. Bought it before there were any reviews and Im quite glad I did. Its long, fun and great for the price. My only knock on the game is after the first 2 stages, it gets pretty easy then the difficulty ramps up again when facing a boss. A world or level map would also be nice

Beware

I bought this game because I am a fan of both Sword & Poker games. Unfortunately, this is not nearly as good as those games. I played the first two areas and thought it was a little too easy but was accumulating poker chips to buy health potions so whatever. Then on the third area it gets harder with the poker spirit absolutely impossible to beat and the area boss (icon inspired by Baldurs Gate) even more impossible. So when you die (and you will) you then have to start the whole area over again fighting battles (doesnt respawn the chests with health potions or poker chips or the healing fountain of course!) to get back to fighting the boss, which basically forces you to need poker chips and health potions to survive. Whatever shall you do? Why, how convenient - just buy IAPs. If I PAID for a game then I should be able to play it all the way through. Either make it fremium so I know the type of game it is and will stay away or charge enough to get your due. I would much rather pay $10 for a really engaging game that I actually have fun with. I am now deleting this game.

Fun but eventually repetitive

Fun but eventually repetitive since the deck is always static (traditional deck of playing cards) and the attacking poker hands you play never change. Played it for several hours before it started feeling repetitive. Still, worth the buy.

Poker knight

Just started playing it, the sound and graphics are top notch. I will finish it because i am a a true amer.

Unique take on poker

Great concept and execution. Really enjoying the game thus far.

Nice but . . .

This game has so much potential, so I am hoping that future versions will be more robust. Here are some things that could make this game great: 1. Different weapons, spells and skills. 2. Character development system. 3. More strategic game play, right now, its just a matter of picking the right cards and occasionally using some special items. 4. Head to head online play. 5. More challenging fights. Most monsters are far too easy and despite their various differences, they are all about the same. This game is fun, but it gets old fast. Please make significant changes soon, or this will be one of those games people delete to make room for pictures of their cat.

iPhone 5 screen support

Please add iPhone 5 screen support, overall great game!

Well produced, but shallow gameplay.

The game mechanic feels like pure luck. Theres not much to hold your interest beyond the initial few battles. Im hoping that they add more itemization or make leveling your character mean something. Theres potential here, but this likely wont be on my device for long.

Pokerish

This is really a card puzzle game that uses some poker mechanics. You dont "play poker" in any meaningful sense, as there is no betting. As the game progresses you unlock amulets that let you manipulate the deck (e.g. draw more cards, remove cards from the board, etc.), and you get bonuses for using those to win battles quickly and with higher-ranked hands. Fun so far, though a little repetitive. Dialogue manages not to be terrible. The bonus battles against the spirits feel too random - e.g. making only flushes is just a matter of what you get dealt. Maybe a better mechanic would be that you have to make hands at *or above* a certain rank. These would also be more fun IMO if you had a fixed number of turns (10? 15?) rather than a time limit...

Nope

Puzzle quest its not. In fact, not sure what it is. The game is lame. And The puzzles are not really puzzles. The repetition turn boring very quickly. Meh.

Makes me learn how to play poker

Great game. Very well produced.

Arbitrary rules, unbalanced game

The explode amulet doesnt work on spirits. No warning given on the amulet. Surprise! The ultimate slap in the face? The FLUSH Spirit is not affected by a Straight FLUSH! O.o If I ever need to turn Banner into The Hulk, Ill make him play this game. (Oh, art team? The game looks really nice. Polished effects, detailed characters. Impressive work. Respect.)

Its decent

Pretty repetitive and very luck based, no poker skill involved

Poorly made. Disappointing.

Its bad enough when you can only attack a creature with straights. If you manage to hit this creature with a royal flush, it bounces off harmlessly. Thats just rotten code. Could be a good game. The dialogue is clownish and behavior like the above make this a regrettable purchase.
